Below are Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any other questions or concerns, just contact me. I've also provided a few care instructions at the bottom of this list.

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

Yes it stings most of the time through the process. Receiving a tattoo is a painful process. It requires the application of pigment under the first epidermal layer of the skin.

How much does it cost to get a tattoo?

The price varies by complexity, location on the body, and artwork prep. Contact me and I will discuss what you want t give you a quote.

Can I use my own design?

Yes of course. Providing pictures or lineart of what you want, or an idea of what you are looking for, will help the process.

Can you fix my old tattoo?

Almost always yes.

Is it safe to get a tattoo?

Yes. I work under strict sanitary guidelines and tools are individually wrapped for your protection. The needles are new with each use.

How about the after-care?

  • Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo!
  • When you get home: Remove bandage within 2-3 hours after getting your tattoo. Do not re-bandage.
  • Wash your tattoo with an anti-bacterial liquid soap. Be gentle, do not use a washcloth or anything that will exfoliate your tattoo. Only use your hands.
  • Gently pat your tattoo dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. Do not rub, or use a fabric with a rough surface.
  • The first 3-4 days: Rub a small amount of ointment on your tattoo. You may use Bacitracin, A&D, or Tattoo Lube– whatever works for you. Make sure to rub the ointment in so that it is not shiny. You want the thinnest amount possible.
  • Wear clean, soft clothing over your tattoo for the first 2 weeks– nothing abrasive or irritating. For a foot tattoo: go barefoot as much as possible. If you must wear shoes, first wrap your clean tattoo in saran wrap, then cover with a clean cotton sock before putting on your shoe. Avoid sandals or flip flops for this period to prevent chafing and damage to the tattoo.
  • On the 3rd or 4th day your tattoo may begin to peel and itch. This is normal. Do not pick at the skin or scratch it!

DO NOTs

  • Do not pick, scratch, peel, slap, rub or irritate your tattoo.
  • You can shower, but don't soak your tattoo for a couple weeks.
  • Try not to expose your tattoo to the sun for at least 3 weeks.
  • Do not wear abrasive materials, jewelry, or shoes that rub against your tattoo.
  • Do not let others touch your tattoo, unless they wash their hands.
  • Beware of gym equipment, wash it well before using it.
